GENERAL INFORMATION:
The Summer Playground Program is not a licensed/ certified child care provider. Although we try to emulate a day camp experience we are not a day camp. Please be sure you are aware of and are comfortable with the programs structure; more importantly that it meets your needs. Please refer to the Parent Handbook for detailed program information. Due to the nature of the program (all outdoors) and we cancel in the event of inclement weather parents are strongly encouraged not to rely on this program for child care. It is a six week progarm.
Tentative Playground locations this year are at the following elementary schools: JFK, Meadowside, Live Oaks School, Orchard Hills School, Mathewson School and Orange Ave. Parents may choose a site that is most convenient for them until participant maximums are met.
The program is for Milford Residents or taxpayers entering first grade through entering seventh grade in this calendar year (2010). Five-year-olds are only permitted provided he/she has completed Kindergarten (proof of current enrollment must be submitted with registration form - a report card will do). Those entering eighth grade are NOT permitted. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE. 12-year-olds entering sixth or seventh grade are permitted and must also submit proof of grade with registration form.
Along with the weekly Thursday Bowling trip, we will be attending the movies every Tuesday. Both the movies and bowling are considered part of the regular SPP week and are incorporated into the base fee of the program.
2010 - NO CONFIRMATIONS WILL BE SENT. The registration forms will have a self-receipt portion that should be detached for your record. Registration form will have specifics. Parents are encouraged to make photocopies of their completed registration form if you receive financial assistance from anyone as proof of enrollment.
