police received a complaint of a suspicious motor vehicle traveling with its lights off in the parking lot of the residence inn on rowe avenue. upon arriving and checking the area, officers located curtis campbell walking in the parking lot and stopped him. police also observed a male, later identified as bruce dixon, seated in a black VOLKSWAGEN jetta and upon investigating police observed several Gps devices in plain view inside the car.
investigation led to the arrest of both males after police learned that they were RESPONSIBLE for thefts from 3 motor vehicles in the milford jurisdiction, 2 vehicles were broken into in the parking lot of the red roof inn and 1 vehicle in the parking lot of the super 8 motel. police recovered 3 stolen gps devices and one radar detector identified as being stolen from the vehicles in milford. vehicle owners also reported more than $700 in damage to vehicles.
other property recovered in the vehicle WAS found to be connected to incidents of larceny from vehicles in the city of west haven. west haven police filed charges on both arrestees as well.
