police received a complaint of a motor vehicle accident on bridgeport avenue at colonial avenue. investigation led to the arrest of mccarthy who was found to be driving while intoxicated when she struck the rear of another vehicle. subsequent her arrest, an intoxilyzer test indicated she had an elevated blood alcohol content.

on February 16, 2008 police received a complaint of a motor vehicle accident on roswell street at lincoln avenue. investigation led to a warrant being issued for bakunas who was found to be driving while intoxicated when he drove off the road, striking a tree. bakunas also had a suspended license at the time of the accident.

on November 11, 2007 milford police traffic division conducted an investigation involving a fatal motor vehicle accident at the intersection of monroe street and shea avenue. the investigation led to a warrant being issued for smarz who failed to yield the right of way to an on coming motorcycle when she made a left hand turn onto shea avenue from monroe street. the motorcycle operator, john prusck SUCCUMBED to injuries received in the accident on January 3, 2008.
